Iridescent Holographic Effect : The spectrum produces a very reflective rainbow effect over any substrates, when it s exposed to a direct source of light. The spectrum is half transparent. It may turn into a silver colored (still displaying the rainbow effect) finishing when applied by many coats. It s destinated to automotive and decorative fields.
Composition : Acylique solvented paint.
Mixing : Ready to spray.
Particles size : 12 microns - 12µm (0.012mm).
Use : Spraygun 0.8-1.2mm, airbrush 0.15-0.5mm
Pressure : 2-3 bars
Application :
Prior the Spectrum, the basecoat must be applied and cured since at least 24h. The substrate must be perfectly dried, hardened and clean (Paint/Plastic ABS,SAN). The Spectrum may be applied over glossy basecoat or finely sanded basecoat (>P1500).
The Spectrum application must be done by a few very thin passes (spray more air than paint) . Do not spray thick or overcharged passes. It s strongly recommanded to spray numerous passes to create a strong coat, even though the rainbow effect has already appeared since the first passes. If not enough product is applied, the effect can be destroyed when the clearcoat is applied.

How to choose the basecoat:
The Spectrum is made of silverish colored particles, so we advise to apply over a silver metallic basecoat or white in order to keep the effect invisible :
