Photochromic paint change from clear to colored when exposed to UV light from sunlight, black lights, or similar sources. The more UV light the more molecules absorb, the more brilliant the color change. When the UV source is removed, it reverts to a clear state. The color is more intense with more UV light. The change happens gradually, with the color getting more intense
Paint must be applied over white basecoat. The paint is pre-thinned and ready to use. Different color combination can be achieved: for example , Blue basecoat + Red photochromic = blue to violet. Yellow basecoat + Red photochromic paint = Yellow to Orange.
