THERMOCHROMIC - New waterborne formula !
The thermochromic paint reacts to temperature changes by creating a stunning colorshifting visual effect. The paint is reacting around 10°C, or around 30°C (depending on the type) : It shifts from a colored/opaque state (when COLD) to a transparent state (when HOT).
Background color: When the paint is hot and transparent, it shows the background color, so it is recommended to use a white or light color basecoat.   
Composition : 98% waterbased acrylic paint.
Mélange : Ready to spray. Ready thinned.
Use :Spraygun or airbrush (>0.5mm) - Pressure : 45-65PSI / 2.5/3 bars
Application : Over white or light color undercoat (Primer or paint, clean and sanded. Do not use degreaser). Apply 3 to 6 thin layers until the desired effect is reached. A right way to ensure the right coverage has been applied (which is not easy with thermo paint and cold spraygun air) is to expose the piece to a source of heat or cold. Within 30 minutes, apply a clearcoat. It s recommended to use our UV screen Clearcoat
Lifetime: Depends more on the number of times the paint is shifting colors (around 10000 times) than the number of years. The paint is not recommended for extended outdoors use due to its sensitivity to UV and sunlight, so it is why it is obligatory to apply our UV screen clearcoat (Also find our concentrate anti UV additive in the section: Additives). It s recommended to preserve the paint from high temperature (above 50°C), which can damage the paints components permanently.
Tips : It is possible to create many exciting combination, by apply over the thermochromic paint the following effects: Candy, Pearlized clears, chameleon, crysal effect, chrome...
For exemple, if we apply a RED the, the paint will shift from red (when cold) to yellow (when hot)
